These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Camper's Checklist (the "Service"), operated at camperschecklist.com. By creating an account, accepting an invite, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Camper's Checklist is a free tool for planning and packing camping trips: building checklists, tracking packing progress, and sharing trip lists with other people ("shared lists"). We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at contact@camperschecklist.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service.

A "list" (we sometimes call it a "family") can be shared among multiple people. Content one member adds to a shared list (checklist items, notes, trip details, background images) is visible to every other member of that list, and a list admin can remove a member's access at any time. You should only add content you're comfortable sharing with the other members of that list.
The Service may suggest gear or checklist items based on simple, rule-based logic tied to your trip's camp type, dates, and general conditions. These suggestions are provided for convenience only. They are not professional safety, survival, medical, or outdoor-preparedness advice, and they are not a substitute for your own judgment, research, and preparation. You are solely responsible for deciding what to bring and how to prepare for your trip.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CAMPER'S CHECKLIST AND ITS OPERATOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE, AND OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO $0.
You may permanently delete your own account at any time from the Manage page. If you are the sole administrator of a shared list that still has other members, you'll need to promote another member to admin (or delete that list) before your account can be deleted. This keeps a shared list from being orphaned with no one able to manage it. A list admin may permanently delete an entire list and everything in it; this is irreversible. We may also suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the operator of Camper's Checklist resides or is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the courts located in that jurisdiction, and you consent to their personal jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
